For decades, the Buick logo has exuded luxury and performance on the Winter Haven streets. However, throughout the last several years, Buick has been trying to rebrand itself with a new logo and begin a new legacy of class-leading vehicles. Is Buick changing their logo? Yes! Buick is redesigning their tri-shield logo for the Buick brand and is going to be the new face of the storied automotive company. The main difference between the old logo and new logo is that the shields are now horizontal instead of vertical, and the diagonal stripe inside each shield has been changed to a downward swooping line. The ring that had previously surrounded the logo has also been removed.
The current Buick logo includes one red, one silver, and one blue shield. We are not sure if these colors will remain or if it will just be one color across the board. GM has never claimed these colors to be a core feature of the logo, so we’ll have to wait and see if the logo retains this element. The new Buick tri-shield logo could begin to be applied to the 2023 model year vehicles; however, this depends on how long the design period takes.
Believe it or not, this is actually the second time within the last decade that the brand has redesigned its logo. Back in 2015, the logo was redesigned with a wing-shaped look and the colored tri-shield logo returned.
